Origin and languages

Yorgos Tsiantoulas (born Georgios Tsiantoulas) is a Greek actor originally from Thessaloniki, Kentriki Makedonia, Greece. He is fluent in Greek (mother tongue), English (fluent in both American and British accents), and has basic proficiency in German and Italian. Currently based in Athens, Greece, he is also available for work in New York, United States, and London, United Kingdom, where he has possible accommodation.

Higher education

Yorgos pursued his education in both the performing arts and language studies. From 2009 to 2012, he trained in acting at the Conservatory of Athens Acting School, honing his craft and developing his stage presence. Simultaneously, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Language & Literature from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens (2008–2012), further enhancing his linguistic skills and deepening his understanding of storytelling and literature.

Height, weight and other characteristics

Yorgos has an athletic build, standing at 185 cm tall and weighing 100 kg. His brown eyes and black hair, often styled with a full-face beard, contribute to his distinctive on-screen presence. He falls within the age range of 28 to 45, making him versatile for a wide range of roles. His diverse appearance allows him to portray various ethnic backgrounds, including Balkan, Hispanic, Mediterranean (both dark and fair), Middle Eastern, Middle European, Caucasian, and Turkish/Kurdish. He has no tattoos, piercings, or glasses, and he is comfortable with full nudity when required for a role.

Yorgos Tsiantoulas is highly skilled in dance, with very good proficiency in dance theatre and traditional Greek dance, while also having foundational experience in ballroom, capoeira, dance improvisation, musical theatre dance, waltz, and general dance training. His vocal pitch is bass, making him well-suited for dubbing and deep-voiced performances.

Musically, he has basic proficiency in playing both the guitar and piano. His sports abilities include very good skills in gym training, jogging, and weightlifting, alongside good proficiency in aerobics, cycling, gymnastics, and volleyball. He also has basic training in Kung Fu, stage fighting, and yoga, making him adaptable for physically demanding roles.

Tsiantoulas holds driver’s licenses for cars, motorbikes, and scooters, allowing for flexibility in roles that require driving. In addition to his acting career, he is experienced as an Artistic Director, Director, Translator, and Computer Expert, bringing a broad skill set to creative and technical fields.

In 2024, Yorgos Tsiantoulas was nominated for the Best Performance in a Male Role at the Iris Prize (United Kingdom) for his portrayal of Demosthenes in Summer with Carmen.
